We are looking for a talented individual…
To join our team as a Systems Administrator AWS. In this role, you'll be an integral member of an exceptional team dedicated to administering infrastructure for optimal performance, scalability, and security. While your primary focus will be on the AWS Platform, the team handles both AWS, Azure and on-prem administration and there are opportunities to work across all.​

For this opportunity, you will… 

  • Create, troubleshoot, and provide support for various AWS resources (e.g., VPC, IAM policies, EC2, ECS, RDS, Lambda) manually via the Portal, using CLI, and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Manage and troubleshoot networking tasks in AWS, including VPCs, endpoints, and S3 bucket access.
  • Effectively manage DNS. Including using Route 53, Cloudflare and Internal DNS via RSAT tools.
  • Utilize CloudFormation and Terraform for automated deployments and troubleshooting.
  • Address connectivity issues and provide support for Servers such as updates, Active Directory Domain joins, and application installations.
  • Collaborate with developers, assisting in Azure DevOps (ADO) pipelines, server builds, and permissions.
  • Remediate server OS issues (Windows/Linux) and container issues. This includes, but is not limited to, Active Directory permission modifications, Windows Services investigations, Server reboots, Disk Space issue resolution, Service Account connections, RDP/SSH connections, Firewall troubleshooting etc.
  • Effectively use AWS Systems Manager and run commands using AWS CLI.
  • Perform Server Vulnerability Management, including but not limited to updating .net, patch management, updating Linux and Windows OS, and other security vulnerabilities as reported in our monthly security audit.

 

In this exciting career opportunity, you will have…

  • 3+ years of proven experience in AWS Administration and Server Side Administration
  • AWS IAM, Networking, Systems Manager, Elasticache, Containerization, Lambda
  • AWS CLI, JSON, Windows PowerShell experience
  • Database creation and support experience, for example Redshift and RDS, using AWS RDS
  • Active Directory experience – On-Prem and Azure AD – Joining servers to Domains, Troubleshooting Server connectivity, setting up AD Accounts, use of RSAT.
  • Some Infrastructure as Code knowledge (e.g., CloudFormation/Terraform)
  • DNS, including Route 53, both Internal DNS and External DNS.  Ability to backwards engineer where a server lives using DNS
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical information effectively through written and verbal channels.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot issues independently, investigating applications and infrastructure with minimal documentation or external assistance.
  • Azure experience is a valuable plus.
