We are looking for an Operational Engineer who will:
This job is responsible for streamlining offerings to CSG’s end customers. They take solutions from development and ensure they are operationally sound prior to rolling into production. Products are evaluated and prepared for installation, configuration, monitoring, diagnostics, and process / procedure to ensure minimal impact as they are released. Production optimization from a personnel perspective is a critical point and leveraging technology to ensure solutions adhere to customers SLA requirements for availability.
- You will take the ownership of code deployment releases and promotions within CTE and Production environments
- You will monitor FSM - Production, CTE, and internal environments
- You will monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime
- You will handle Incident calls, and coordinate with other FSM Dev./QA teams if needed
- You will develop and maintain automation tools and processes to streamline operations and improve productivity
- You will document operational and system architecture processes and configuration and identify automation opportunities where applicable
- You will support the FSM Operations 12x7 on-call rotation schedule
Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5 - 8 years experience with development and release processes
- Experience working with Linux, AWS, DevOps tools(GIT, Jenkins, Chef) and RDS database (Oracle)
- Experience with Software development experience on Linux platforms in common scripting languages (Bash, Python, Perl, Groovy)
- Experience configuring, managing, and upgrading servers and software
- Experience in Docker and Kubernetes are good to have
