The Technical Program Management Team

Okta is seeking a Staff Technical Program Manager to focus on driving critical, cross-functional programs for our Customer Identity Cloud Product Unit. The Staff Technical Program Manager will partner with cross-functional teams to implement, maintain, and optimize complex operational processes, inclusive of clarifying needs and value, securing commitment from teams across the organization, setting timelines, and ensuring ongoing delivery and execution.

The Staff Technical Program Manager Opportunity

Reporting to the Manager of Technical Program Management, we’re looking for someone with a passion for technology, security and delivery.

What you’ll be doing

Partner with Product, Engineering and other stakeholders to manage complex and large-scale cross-team initiatives, clarifying needs and value, securing commitment from teams across the organization, setting timelines, and leading activities from design through delivery.
Structure, kick-off, and run continuous and/or time-bound initiatives within and beyond the Engineering and Product organizations - clarifying priorities, enabling the execution of deliverables, defining program process flows, and providing continuous transparency.
Program manage initiatives across multiple teams; taking a hands-on and proactive approach to unblock when needed, introduce efficiencies, and provide workflow solutions.
Build and maintain alignment across multiple teams for keeping a focus on execution, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
Provide clear, consistent, and accurate status and progress of initiatives.
Build strong relationships with stakeholders and ensure clarity to program goals, commitments, risks, progress, and deliverable quality.
Ability to map dependencies and relationships between initiatives and teams, manage and mitigate risks to program deliverables, and coordinate work across disparate teams.

What you’ll bring to the role

8+ years of technical program management experience in a remote, SaaS product development environment.
Track record of collaboration in order to manage and successfully deliver large scale software development programs.
Ability to clearly communicate and establish credibility with technical and non-technical stakeholders including an executive audience.
Ability to influence others of varying levels within a matrix organization.
Strong attention to detail and focus on data-informed execution.
Passion for understanding ambiguous, complex problems and driving high-quality, innovative, and robust solutions.
Experience with agile and other program management methodologies.

Working at a high paced, fast growing tech startup.
Technical degree and/or background in software development.

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, New York, and Washington is between:

$142,000—$212,000 USD

The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between:

$158,000—$238,000 USD
