Our company

Changing the world through digital experiences is what Adobe’s all about. We give everyone—from emerging artists to global brands—everything they need to design and deliver exceptional digital experiences! We’re passionate about empowering people to create beautiful and powerful images, videos, and apps, and transform how companies interact with customers across every screen.

We’re on a mission to hire the very best and are committed to creating exceptional employee experiences where everyone is respected and has access to equal opportunity. We realize that new ideas can come from everywhere in the organization, and we know the next big idea could be yours!

The Opportunity

The Shared Components and SDK team at Adobe develops tools that enhance the collaborative experience of Adobe Creative Cloud products such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Firefly, and Express.

Our team includes front-end, full-stack, and quality engineers who work closely with designers, product managers, and program managers. With team members across the United States, our work environment seamlessly integrates remote and on-site work, creating a dynamic and collaborative setting.

We are looking for a senior software engineer who is passionate about crafting user interfaces and tools to facilitate seamless collaboration in Adobe products. This role requires a strong dedication to problem-solving, innovation, and upholding quality across various code bases. It also requires extensive leadership experience to drive impactful projects across multiple organizations.

What You’ll Do

  • As a technical leader, you will partner closely with senior leaders across the broader organization to help shape and guide the team’s vision and roadmap.

  • You will make effective tradeoffs by considering business priorities, user experiences, and sustainable technical foundations.

  • You will champion quality through code reviews, project architecture reviews, and test suite strategy.

  • You are committed to elevating the developer experience and improving developer productivity.

  • You will play a crucial role in encouraging the growth and development of your team and organization while upholding a high bar of excellence.

What You Need to Succeed

  • 6+ years of software development experience.

  • Extensive experience in web technology (JavaScript, React, TypeScript, Node, Web Components) and standard methodologies.

  • Experience building and driving enterprise-level tools and systems with an eye to UX, reliability, and quality.

  • You uphold the highest standards of code quality by championing testing strategies and advocating for test driven development. This involves writing unit tests and implementing test automation.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical partners.

  • You are driven and impact oriented. You move quickly to meet changing business needs.

  • You strive to improve your personal development while also influencing the growth of others.

  • A growth mindset and a track record of learning new skills and seeking out new challenges.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and CircleCI.

  • Experience in MobX or other React state frameworks.

  • Experience in Playwright or other UI test automation frameworks.

  • Experience with monitoring and analytics tools like Splunk and Sentry.
