Position Summary

Experian Automotive is looking for a highly motivated software development leader that can thrive in fast paced agile environment.  You will be leading agile development team(s) that deliver a diverse product portfolio. You will work closely with product managers, scrum master, developers, and sales to manage deliverables that align with organization’s strategy.   We also seek a person with vast knowledge of modern/AWS technology and strong leadership to champion the innovation required for the growth of the business.

Primary Responsibilities include:

• Lead multinational engineering scrum team(s) to develop high quality software products that enable business to achieve strategic objectives.
• Lead development teams to deliver on-time, on budget, high value complex projects. 
• Partner with product management & customer deliverable teams to build shared goals.
• Your deep experience in application design, solutions architecting, development and testing will be required to set strategic direction and solve complex problems.
• Work effectively with members of cross-functional product development teams including Product Managers, Architects, Scrum master’s and Analysts on various sized projects and initiatives.
• Move fluidly from the big picture to details and lead the engineering teams to deliver scalable and secure solutions.
• Estimate timelines for both long-term roadmap initiatives and short-term deliverables.
• Establish and enforce best practices in code control, code reviews, unit testing, DevOps, and cloud architecture.
• Assess existing solutions and identify opportunities for automation and upgrading technology platform
• Proactively remove obstacles to drive momentum and progress. Identify communication gaps, manage issue escalations and provide support to teams balancing competing priorities. Drive results proactively.
• Play an integral role in making sure that software products are developed in accordance with company’s risk, security, and architecture guidelines.

Qualifications

• Computer Science Degree or equivalent
• 14 to 17 years of overall technology experience in software development environment; developer background is a must.
• Minimum 8 years of experience leading development teams with direct reports
• Strong background in API development, authentication, and integration
• Experience with cloud development on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform with services including API Gateway, Lambda, EC2, ECS, SQS, SNS, Fargate, Redshift, Glue, Athena, Dynamo DB and Aurora DB. 
• Hands on experience of JAVA/J2EE, Spring Boot, Bitbucket/GIT, JS framework (React and/or Node)
• Knowledge of multithreaded programming and concurrency control 
• Strong background in data modeling and database design concepts E
• Ability to comprehend and implement detailed project specifications as well as the ability to adapt to various technologies and simultaneously work on multiple projects. 
• Knowledge of a broad range of both commercial and opensource solutions/tools - React/Vue.JS, KAFKA, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Unix shell.
• Experience in Cloud migration projects and implementing solutions leveraging AWS (serverless preferred) capabilities and Infrastructure as Code/SAM (Kubernetes, Observability, CI/CD).
• Excellent communication skills and a deep understanding of technology
• Experience in preparing materials and presenting to wider audiences, translating technologies into products.
• Proven success in developing teams to deliver and demonstrated engineering excellence.
• Secure development mindset with proven track record.
• Comfortable and experienced communications with clients and senior management
