Role Summary:
GTT is seeking a Senior Director, Global Tax, based in the UK, reporting to the US-based SVP, Tax to lead and oversee all aspects of its tax function outside of the US. The role will require leadership in the region while coordinating and executing planning in concert with their US counterparts.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and implement global tax strategies to minimize liabilities and support the business's global growth.
Responsible for international tax operations, strategy, Income and VAT compliance and planning, ensuring adherence to all relevant tax laws and regulations, and PE management.
Stay abreast of and incorporate changes in tax rules
Oversee the accurate and timely filing of tax returns.
Drive tax process transformation projects, participate in M&A activities, and lead a team of tax professionals.
Required Experience/Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, and hold a CPA certification or Chartered Accountant certification.
Minimum of 15 years of tax experience, including at least 5 years in a division leadership role
Strong background in the tax rules in OECD-based countries and how they interact with U.S. international tax concepts (GILTI, FDII, FTC), quarterly and annual tax provision process for US GAAP and IFRS, and tax technology solutions.
Experience in transfer pricing planning, intercompany debt management and solvency planning is critical
Excellent project management, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work with various levels of management.
Detail-oriented, highly organized, and have a strong work ethic.
