JOB OVERVIEW

Functional consultants provide advice and support to businesses about technology that can perform critical tasks and processes. They recommend and configure technology-based solutions to address a client or organization’s business needs.

These consultants commonly represent a specific brand or product line or specialize in a particular type of technology. They gather information from the client to determine their challenges and priorities and then recommend programs or systems that would be beneficial to their business.

As a Salesforce Consultant you will work to help organisations meet their missions by driving client-specific implementation as well as ongoing system improvements on the Salesforce platform. You will need to understand the business requirements to provide help with implementation, or improving productivity and results from an existing Salesforce deployment.

Stakeholder management is a critical component to this role especially when it comes to understanding business needs, partnering with various team members to implement projects, and training and support.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conducting thorough analysis and gathering information to understand the needs and challenges of the company.
  • Working closely with company employees and stakeholders to gain insights into the existing processes and systems.
  • Identifying areas for improvement and proposing strategies and solutions to address those areas.
  • Developing and documenting detailed plans for implementing changes, including recommending software systems or workflow redesign.
  • Configure Salesforce features to support clients’ business requirements according to the organisations’ expertise and skills.
  • Contribute to configuration and build of the Salesforce data models to help support business requirements.
  • Support the delivery of workshops to identify client needs leading to scoping project proposals.
  • Provide expertise during pre-sales in order to provide technical solutions and develop and review proposals.
  • Deliver the configuration, quality assurance, testing, and deployment of Salesforce solutions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors’ Degree in Information Technology or relevant courses
  • At least 3-4 years of experience as Functional Consultant using Salesforce
  • Background in workflow configuration
  • Experience in project delivery role
  • Prior experience in Implementation, Upgrade and Support.
