Role Summary:

GTT is seeking a Program Manager who is highly organized, detail oriented, and a great communicator. You will be responsible for coordinating all design matters relating to projects with stakeholders, helping to ensure that the multi-disciplinary teams building the project work together smoothly, and ensuring that timelines are met so that projects are delivered on time.

Job Scope/Supervision:

The Program Manager will work very closely with the virtual team and is responsible to identify opportunities and implementing seamlessly new project and solutions supporting company impartives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility of the Program Manager is to support large information technology which encompasses the following functions:

  • Coordinating with cross-disciplined team members to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules
  • Submitting project deliverables and ensuring that they adhere to quality standards
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

Required Experience/Qualifications:

  • 10 or more years experience in an IT environment
  • 5 or more years of direct or matrix / virtual  team management experience
  • A committed team player
  • Persuasive, influential and an effective communicator
  • Experience in large transformation, programs, and governance models
  • Ability to lead project teams of various sizes and see them through to completion
  • Strong understanding of formal project management methodologies
  • Proven experience in project management.
  • Excellent matrix management and ability to build strong cross-departmental relationships
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills
  • An ability to recognize potentially serious issues quickly and drive to resolution
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
  • Personal focus on continuous improvement and innovation, open to new ideas and techniques

Desirable Experience/Qualifications:

  • Prince 2 or PMP certification is highly desirable

  • Stakeholder Management: Knowledge of stakeholder management techniques; ability to systematically identify stakeholders, analyze their needs and expectations, and implement various tasks to engage with them.
  • Conflict Management: Knowledge of managing conflicts; ability to anticipate, recognize, and deal effectively with existing or potential conflicts at the individual, group, or situation level.
