Job Description

As a Product Manager on the Turnitin Feedback Studio (TFS) integrations team, you will be responsible for delivering on opportunities to broaden and strengthen Turnitin’s value and utilization within our customers’ existing technology investments/ecosystem. 

As Product Manager, you will work closely with Engineering, other members of Product Management and industry partners to deliver standards based integrations and assist in their continued support and enhancement post release. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including customers, sales, marketing, partner alliances, and engineering teams, to ensure successful delivery of product features that align with our business goals and meet our customers' needs.

The ideal candidate will have experience in education technology, preferably in software that integrates with a 3rd party for delivery to end users. Learning Management System (LMS/VLE) or LTI standards are a major plus. We are looking for a talented communicator, who can translate customer needs and workflows into technical requirements for delivery. As a remote employee, the position requires exceptional team collaboration, self-motivation and  comfortability forging new relationships.

This position is expected to work closely with the entire TFS Product team, especially the integrations product lead.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with key stakeholders to inform/develop/maintain the product strategy and roadmap for assigned integrations 
  • Work with design and development partners to document functional and technical scope 
  • Proactively collaborate with appropriate team members to identify and manage requirements, build core capabilities, and efficiently solve for unique capabilities
  • Support sprint planning with clear, detailed requirements for product features and enhancements
  • Define, manage and report on the product roadmap for assigned projects, ensuring alignment with company objectives and market needs
  • Develop and maintain relationships with partner vendors and third party contractors (as needed)
  • Work across teams to support releases, ensuring accurate market messaging, streamlined onboarding and informed, responsive support

Qualifications

Essential:

  • 3+ years of Product Management or equivalent experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and evaluate product opportunities and drive key decisions with both technical and non-technical partners
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using metrics to drive product decisions and measure product performance 
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies and tools, with direct experience creating and managing product backlogs
  • Experience working with sales, marketing, and partner alliances to align product features with business goals
  • Experience working closely with customers to gather feedback and ensure product satisfaction
  • Experience effectively working in a remote-first environment
  • Commitment to continuous learning and improvement

Desired:

  • Bachelor and/or advanced degree in a related field (Computer science, business administration, instructional design, etc.) 
  • Proven track record of managing and delivering software products that integrate with third-party platforms
  • Understanding of the educational technology landscape including Knowledge of or experience with LMS systems such as Blackboard Learn, Canvas, Brightspace, Moodle, Schoology, and others
  • Well versed in user experience (UX) design, with hands-on experience creating wireframes and workflow diagrams
  • History of active participation in relevant industry forums, conferences, and professional networks.
