Acolad Inc. is seeking India Based Transcriptionists with Medical experience work on a Transcription team serving US based Medical clients. The position requires availability to work at 9am to 6pm US Eastern Time Zone shift.

Main Responsibilities

A transcription team lead plays a critical role in overseeing the transcription process and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of the team. Here are the primary responsibilities typically associated with this position:

Team Management:

·       Supervise and Support: Oversee daily activities of the transcription team, providing guidance, support, and mentoring.

·       Training: Train new team members on transcription protocols, software, and industry standards.

·       Performance Evaluation: Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and implement improvement plans if necessary.

·       Ensure goals/targets are met on daily/weekly/monthly bases for each team member

Quality Control:

·       Accuracy: Ensure transcriptions meet high standards of accuracy and completeness.

·       Consistency: Maintain consistency in formatting, terminology, and style across all transcriptions.

·       Error Checking: Perform quality checks and audits on transcriptions to identify and correct errors.

Workflow Management:

·       Task Assignment: Allocate work among team members based on skill level and workload.

·       Deadlines: Monitor project timelines and ensure that deadlines are met.

·       Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in the workflow and implement solutions to improve efficiency.

Communication:

·       Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the point of contact for stakeholders (internal and external) to address their needs, concerns, and feedback.

·       Team Coordination: Facilitate effective communication within the team and with other departments.

·       Status Reporting: Provide regular updates to management on team performance and project status.

Technical Oversight:

·       Tool Management: Ensure team members have the necessary tools and software to perform their tasks.

·       Troubleshooting: Address technical issues promptly to minimize downtime.

Compliance and Security:

·       Data Privacy: Ensure that all transcriptions adhere to relevant data privacy regulations and company policies.

·       Confidentiality: Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.

Documentation and Reporting:

·       Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of transcriptions, revisions, and client communications.

·       Reporting: Generate reports on team performance, project progress, and quality metrics.

Industry Trends:

·       Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in transcription.

By effectively managing these responsibilities, a transcription team lead ensures that the transcription services provided are of the highest quality and meet client expectations.

Requirements:

Educational Background

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.

 Professional Experience

  • Should be trained, preferably certified with a minimum experience of 5 years as a Medical Transcriptionist/ Editor.
  • Strong spoken and written English skills.
  • Must be able to coordinate with managers and team.
  • Must have excellent time management skills.
  • Must be ready to work in a US Eastern Time Zone environment with majority of time working in evening/night shifts.
  • Experience and knowledge of transcription platforms.
  • Experience of leading and supporting a team.
