SUMMARY
The Management Analyst I will support the Health and Human Services (HHS), Office for Civil Rights (OCR) by providing mission support and policy analysis services to the COR in developing case related guidance for front-line OCR investigators and makes recommendations regarding regional operations to ensure consistency in compliance activities and application of policies and administration.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to obtain government security clearance.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

Conducts and analyses HHS program-related research.

Provides general administrative and analytical support to the divisions and/or regions.

Develops a system for tracking the goals and accomplishments of the divisions and/or regions.

Develops spreadsheets, analyzes information, and provides reports that track complaints, information about covered entities and relevant stakeholders, and information needed to meet reporting requirements for OCR.

Interfaces with appropriate staff within OCR to get needed information and arrange meetings.

Provides logistical support for division and/or regional activities.

Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor’s instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output.

Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

An associate’s degree from an accredited university, plus one year of specialized experience in a field which equips the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.

A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position. Experience must be equivalent to four (4) years of specialized experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Regularly required to sit. Regularly required use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms to handle objects and operate tools, computer, and/or controls. Required to speak and hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.  Exposed to general office noise with computers printers and light traffic.

The pay range for this role is $70,000-$75,000, with the final offer amount dependent on location, skillset, and experience.
