Machine Learning Engineer - 100% Remote Position

The Machine Learning Engineer position is in Iron Mountain Digital Business Unit that provides a content services platform that provides actionable business insights and predictive analytics through cutting-edge Machine Learning (ML)-based technology, which adds structure, context and meta-data to make data more usable. The resulting enriched content can then enable enhanced automated governance and workflows for our customers. 
 
Essential Job Responsibilities:

⦁    Design and development of ML models to perform unsupervised and supervised learning (e.g., classification and entity extraction) on various forms of digital content (images, pdf, and other digital file formats).
⦁    Work with project managers, solution architects and other engineers to build and deploy ML solutions into Iron Mountain Platform.
⦁    Perform feasibility analysis and deliver PoC (Proof of Concept) for various customer requirements.
⦁    Applying effective visualization tools to make analysis and results intuitive and informative to the team and customers.
⦁    Participating in R&D to build Iron Mountain IP (Intellectual Property).
⦁    Work closely with the business to identify issues and use data to propose solutions for effective decision-making.

Functional Knowledge Skills & Competencies:

Education:    Master/Bachelor/PhD degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline 

Skills:

• Professional experience in Python programming, familiar with open source libraries (numpy, pandas, pytorch, ski-learn, matplotlib, etc.) 

• Deep understanding of Machine Learning and AI techniques, including computer vision and/or natural language understanding, and large foundation models.  

• Work experience of projects using CNN/transformer/LLM,  Huggingface models and data. 

• Deep understanding of Cloud Technologies and solutions (e.g., gcp, aws, azure). 

• Strong technical background and understanding of enterprise solutions 

• Proven internal/external written and verbal communication, interpersonal and analytical skills

• Ability to multitask and prioritize issues in a complex environment.

• Experience working in an Agile environment

• Good team player

• ML-related publication preferred
