Information Security Specialist

• Work with Information Security leads to establish target security profile for all monitored assets; define performance metrics and measure and report performance against established metrics on a regular basis
• Manage process for reviewing security for MicroStrategy vendors, contractors, and other third-party service providers
• Respond to security questionnaires from MicroStrategy’s clients regarding MicroStrategy Security capabilities. This requires understanding of MicroStrategy’s security environment and risk posture
• Document program monitoring and incident response program elements at both policy and procedural levels
• Document service level agreements associated with monitoring and incident response functionality
• Assist in the design, implementation, documentation, operation, and maintenance of security functionality relative to a wide variety of business applications, IT platforms and environments
• Perform hands-on implementation tasks of hardware and software required to maintain information security and conform to firm-wide policies
• Organize and participate in IT security planning sessions

• Undergraduate degree required; degrees and/or significant coursework in computer science, information assurance, information science, business or related is ideal
• 3-5 years of professional experience preferred; will provide training and professional development
• Functional knowledge of security information and management products, investigatory procedures, and event documentation/tracking preferred
• Familiarity with NIST 800-53, ISO 27001 and/or SOC2 
• Proven documentation skills, including proficiency with the documentation and documentation maintenance for process workflow diagrams
• Security+, SANS GIAC, CISSP, CISA, Microsoft, and/or ISO Lead Auditor certifications desired, but not required
• Familiarity with relevant SOX, COBIT and/or ISO standards related to data security/IT operations and business continuity 
• Strong work ethic; willingness to work additional hours to meet business need and coordinate with colleagues globally
• Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work successfully with both IT and non-IT colleagues
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail; ability to manage multiple work streams and correctly prioritize

• Able to work core hours of 12:00pm and 9:00pm IST.
