What You Will Do:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Agile Consultant to support various federal government projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Agile methodologies and a proven track record of implementing Agile practices within large, complex organizations. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, and a deep understanding of federal government operations.

  • Lead the adoption of Agile methodologies across federal government projects.

  • Coach and mentor federal government teams in Agile practices, including Scrum, Kanban, and Lean.

  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews.

  • Assist teams in identifying and removing impediments to Agile adoption and performance.

  • Collaborate with federal leadership to develop and implement Agile transformation strategies.

  • Provide expert advice on scaling Agile practices across multiple teams and departments.

  • Assess current processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the success of Agile implementations.

  • Prepare and present reports on Agile transformation progress to federal stakeholders.

  • Use data-driven insights to refine and optimize Agile practices continuously.

  • Work closely with federal project managers, product owners, and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment with Agile principles.

  • Foster strong relationships with federal clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.

  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, from executive leadership to individual team members.

What You Will Need:

  • 5+ years of experience in Agile coaching or consulting, with at least 3 years supporting federal government projects.

  • Proven experience in leading Agile transformations in large organizations.

  • Familiarity with federal government processes, regulations, and standards.

  • Experience working with the teams or organizations to establish and adapt to Scrum and/or Kanban practices that help to ensure high quality results and a high level of customer satisfaction.

  • Experience ensuring that the Agile development practices are followed and adjusted as required.

  • Experience with facilitation of Agile ceremonies, and helping leaders, teams, and/or departments.

  • Experience facilitating important recurring ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily standup, sprint review, backlog grooming, and spring retrospective.

  • Experience ensuring that key metrics such as lead time, throughput, and work in progress are maintained and reviewed on a regular basis to facilitate decision making


What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Relevant certifications in Agile are highly desirable.

  • Master’s degree in computer science, information systems, mathematics, physics, or related discipline.

The annual salary range for this position is $87,100.00-$130,700.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
