As an Account Manager you will be Responsible for increasing sales by actively selling products/applications/solutions to direct accounts (no intermediatory) in a designated territory. Owns the full sales cycle with their accounts using supporting functions as needed (FAS, SST, SMEs, Product Managers). Works in close conjunction with both the other portfolio segments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manages timely provides forecasts and delivers on quarterly and annual sales targets.

  • Proactively manages the sales funnel from new opportunity generation through closing.

  • Demonstrates a deep understanding of and appropriately communicates the Bioscience portfolio and Lonza’s value proposition to customers to close deals and creates pipelines for the future.   

  • Develops a deep understanding of assigned accounts including site locations, departments, and key contacts, and uses that information to drive sales and support a strong pipeline.

  • Establishes an excellent understanding of market knowledge and shares the information with the Lonza team to drive solutions and agility to support the business. 

  • Organizes, plans, and schedules time to provide optimum and effective account and territory coverage.

  • Record activities and client information in the CRM database on a daily and timely basis.

  • Travels up to 60% to support the above mentioned activities.

  • Often acts as a role model to junior team members and proactively engages in activities to support continuous improvement and strategic agility. 

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Key Requirements:

  • Degree / Masters in Science , Cell Biology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry.

  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in similar industry is a must.

  • Effective Communication, Priority Management, Accountability, Teamwork, Results-Driven and Strategic Thinker.
