VERIFICATION SPECIALIST ON A BACKGROUND SCREENING TEAM

This position pays $18.15 per hour.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

As a Verification Specialist, you'll operate under general supervision, utilizing your independent judgment to achieve optimal results. In this role, you'll collaborate with fellow Verification Specialists, Criminal Research Specialists, and Quality Control Specialists. Our culture thrives on cross-functional cooperation, welcoming fresh ideas that can further enhance our processes.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Contact educational institutions, companies, licensing agencies, and other entities through phone, email, and web to gather and verify information crucial for background screening requests.
  • Handle Personal Identifying Information (PII) with the utmost confidentiality and responsibility.
  • Maintain meticulous records and notes, documenting your research steps and the actions taken to complete each verification request.
  • Communicate efficiently and effectively with all relevant parties involved in the verification process.
  • Compile accurate and grammatically correct reports summarizing the data obtained from research and verification interviews.
  • Provide a professional and efficient service to both internal and external customers, ensuring swift issue resolution.
  • Uphold a performance level that consistently meets or surpasses the department's quality goals.
  • Safeguard both company and customer information according to company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • A minimum of 2+ years of customer service, research, or investigative experience is preferred.
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
    • Experience and a demonstrated ability to conduct research for business information online.
    • Strong proficiency with computer applications, including the Microsoft Office Suite and web-based tools.
    • Familiarity with managing confidential information.
    • The aptitude to thrive both autonomously and as a valuable team member.
    • A commitment to maintaining performance that aligns with or exceeds the department's quality benchmarks.
