ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
An exciting opportunity to develop and evolve the process and reporting for advanced insights that drive client performance, generate consumer insight and contribute to agency growth.
The Manager, Advanced Insights develops a team of specialized advanced insights specialists and works collaboratively as part of the Data, Analytics and Insights team who have further specialisms around Measurement Strategy, Digital Analytics, Ad Operations, Dashboards and Conversion Rate Optimization.
The ideal candidate for this role understands technologies available to conduct advanced analytics, how these technologies are applied in marketing, and the context for what factors affect changes in marketing performance. Based on that understanding, the ideal candidate can demonstrate how they can support clients in leveraging advanced analytics, including through data storytelling, to deliver highly performant marketing campaigns and tailored consumer insights.

ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Report directly into the Data, Analytics & Insights Senior Manager to contribute advanced insights solutions as part of NP Digital’s multi-pronged approach to marketing measurement that also includes measurement strategy, dashboards, digital analytics and other data services.
- Collaborate with managers and strategists across CRO, Earned and Paid Media for how best to incorporate advanced insights into client marketing strategies and execution.
- Interface directly with clients including marketing leaders and data stakeholders
- Own and execute advanced insights initiatives such as time series forecasting, target setting and evaluation, lead quality evaluation, advanced insights consultation inclusive of gaining alignment around metrics definition and prioritization, data access and integration opportunities, documenting specifications for enriching advanced analytics capabilities and validating availability of data according to those specifications.
- Plan and conduct periodic advanced insight analyses that drive marketing performance results and inform future strategies and tactics with consumer insight.
- Contribute processes, frameworks and rubrics that allow for consistency in advanced insights reporting and data story telling for agency programs leveraging advanced insights data and approaches.
- Define business logic to drive scalable measurement that enables advanced insights.
- Work with marketers, analysts, BI specialists and developers to QA data used for advanced insights according to reporting requirements and put in place initiatives to allow for data governance ongoing
- Contribute to a “data forward” culture to enable all disciplines to leverage advanced insights to continually improve marketing performance through analysis, optimization, integration and automation.
- Bring credibility and advanced insights expertise to the forefront with internal and client stakeholders.
- Set expectations around standardized advanced insights deliverables and activities that can be referenced to qualify and scope new business and existing client upsell opportunities including identifying dependencies and proposing appropriate deliverables.
- Proactively identify and implement potential data quality, data availability and/or efficiency improvement opportunities that will improve advanced insights infrastructure for our clients and offerings.
- Keep advanced insights projects on track while being a contributor to day-to-day execution of client programs using digital analytics data.
- Manage advanced insights resources to deliver digital analytics offerings throughout the agency, ensuring skill development opportunities with an emphasis on following advanced insights practices.
- Manage other duties as assigned
ABOUT YOU
- 6+ years of experience in a digital marketing agency setting with hands-on experience in advanced insights such as multi-touch attribution, time series forecasting, evaluation of lead quality, target setting, marketing mix modeling
- Demonstrated expertise in planning and executing advanced insights initiatives for well-known, enterprise level brands.
- Expertise in establishing advanced insights data projects from planning, through to data preparation, analysis, and activation.
- Experience with data visualization platforms including Google’s Looker Studio and visual design tools and SVG image formats is a plus
- Proficiency in Powerpoint
- Expertise with SQL, Python, R and/or Regex is required
- A passion and capability for advanced insights execution to a high standard for marketing
- Experience managing and growing a team of direct reports, including the ability to mentor and lead by example
- Excellent written, verbal communication and data story telling skills
- BS degree, preferably in a quantitative subject that includes coursework in statistics, human computer interaction, data visualization, cognitive science, or computer science science/engineering
- Experience with Salesforce, Marketo, or other Email/CRM Marketing technologies is a plus
- Experience with BigQuery, Funnel.io and survey data is a plus
