Lead Engineer (all genders) 3rd Party Applications

About the Role:

We are looking for a Lead engineer (all genders) for our 3rd Party Applications team. Our 3rd Party team consists of 3 people and owns most of our Corporate 3rd Party Applications from the technical perspective and some of them also from the functional perspective. The team is also responsible for the software approval process. This function helps us to keep our corporate wide software landscape effective and efficient and to support our value chain in the best possible way. 

The lead engineer ensures that the respective team defines and delivers the right solution at the right time. Knowing when to delegate and how to empower their individual team members is key to being successful in this role. Lead engineers split their time between pairing up with their team, learning how to handle difficult management and leadership situations and partnering up with product managers and other business stakeholders to understand the company’s goals and needs.   

What you´ll be doing:

• You will be accountable for the Corporate 3rd Party software landscape and strategy  
• You will plan, control and optimize the company wide budget for the Corporate 3rd Party software solutions and the team internal budget 
• You will manage our 3rd Party Software landscape to meet the requirements of various stakeholders (targeting given SLOs and SLAs) and create monitoring and alerting solutions  
• You will accountable for the operation of our 3rd Party software solutions 
• You are accountable for the operational excellence of your team and ensure to have a roadmap for the team in place  
• You will be accountable for evaluate, implement, integrate, operate and terminate of 3rd Party Software solutions on a technical basis  
• You will be accountable for the functional / business side of some applications 
• You ensure the integration of data governance and security requirements into our software solutions, including collaboration with GRC and IT Security  
• You will contribute to the corporate and department strategy and architectural goals and communicate them transparently and understandably to stakeholders  
• You are accountable for developing your directs – to do so they have regular (weekly) 1:1s with them  
• You ensure that the 3rd Party solutions and interfaces fit the overall architectural vision of GROPYUS and their respective area  

What you bring:

• You have a strong ownership for 3rd Party software solutions with a focus on the users and the use cases 
• You bring professional experience working as a lead engineer (f/m/d) participating in team strategy, roadmap definition and cost planning and cost controlling 
• You had budget responsibility in your previous roles 
• You bring experience in an environment with standardised processes 
• You have strong analytical skills and a transparent and collaborative communication style and the ability to troubleshoot complex challenges   
• You bring experience with monitoring and alerting tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Opsgenie)  
• I would be nice if you bring experience with Microsoft EntraID and Terraform 
• I would be nice if have hands-on experience with Python
