Responsibilities:
The Senior Systems Engineer manages a combination of field-deployable network engineering activities, configuration and consulting activities, skills and certification maintenance, and engineering laboratory research and technology development tasks. The Sr. Systems Engineer primarily works to maintain a high level of billable utilization, which is a combination of remote & onsite customer installation and network security deployments, configuration, system troubleshooting, performance optimization, and documentation.
Senior System engineer will have advanced to expert skill level supporting Cisco security solutions and may be asked to function as Lead Engineer on specific projects.
The Sr. System Engineer is focused in one or more of the following: security, networking, and cloud security technologies, but must also possess and maintain competency in Cisco Security solutions and some adjacent technologies such as alternative perimeter security platforms and familiarity with SASE, AD, CA, operating systems, and business applications. The Engineer maintains the required level of competency and certifications in relevant product and technology sets.

Qualifications:
- Must have an active CCIE Security certification.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Engineering preferred.
- Experience in design and post-sales delivery and deployment of solutions within Cisco's Secure portfolio.
- A solid foundation in information technology, including the principles and practices of systems analysis, design, development, administration, maintenance, integration, and the functions of an IT Department
- Strong Enterprise networking with Routing/Switching configuration/diagnostic experience.
- 5years' experience deploying and work with Network Access Control solutions is preferred.
- Ability to analyze current network configurations and determine implementation requirements.
- Ability to develop network documentation, including diagrams, standards, specifications, and operating procedures.
- Ability to make rapid and concise decisions based on a sound technical basis.
- A strong plus for experience with automation tools and scripting languages (Such as: Python, Go/Golang, Terraform, Ansible, Ruby on Rails, C#, etc.).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
