Responsibilities: Under the direction of the IT Director, the Power BI Architect is accountable for the critical role of designing and implementing BI solutions that serve the enterprise. This includes establishing team best practices, providing technical leadership, and collaborating on requirements with stakeholders to ensure developed products enable informed decision-making.  Responsibilities: - Create, optimize and maintain enterprise BI solutions utilizing data flows in a Data Lake House architecture - Steer the preparation of requirements and technical documentation for assigned projects - Manage and enforce SDLC processes including source code management, automated testing and CI/CD deployment practices - Develop and maintain data models to support business requirements for both enterprise solutions and self-service analysis - Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between business targets, application platforms, data architecture, data quality, and master data management - Effectively convey complex data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders - Plan, create, and execute technical roadmaps to continuously improve the firm’s BI offerings while identifying and mitigating potential risks - Manage system implementation projects and teams, and mentor other engineers assigned to project tasks - Monitor and maintain availability/integrity of the BI platform and deployed products - Manage vendor relationships to ensure continued support for assigned systems Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Qualifications: - Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in IT or an IT related major, or an equivalent combination of education - 10+ years of job-related experience. - Deep expertise with Microsoft Power BI including data flow design, visualizations and solution architecture - Skilled in writing complex DAX formulas - Skilled in visual story telling - Experienced in applying Row Level Security in Power BI reports - Proven expertise of data warehousing, star-schema and dimensional modeling (Kimball) - Proficient in Microsoft T-SQL, Power BI, Databricks and Azure DevOps - Experienced in integrating different Power BI data sources like Rest API, Data Lake, SQL Server, etc. - Experience in mentoring multi-national developers - Ability to break down business challenges, recommend solutions, plan, prioritize, and organize work effectively - Ability to work virtually in an agile Scrum Team - Ability to comprehend application-related concepts with a demonstrated ability to learn and apply technical thinking - Experience in financial and/or professional services industry preferred.  Wipfli is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer. The estimated pay range for this position is: $107,000 to $177,000. Compensation within the range is determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, individuals' skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications, business needs and applicable employment laws. Individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, subject to participation rules and based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual and Firm performance. Wipfli cares about our associates and offers a variety of benefits to support their well-being.
