Overview:
The Fountainhead Group is looking for a diligent, experienced full time 2nd shift Plastic Molding Technician to join our FGI Family and support our growing Manufacturing Department. Reporting to the Process Engineering Manager, the Molding Technician is responsible for all tasks related to Plastic Molding Machinery, including set-up, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all Molding processes.
Must be able to train on first shift, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, before moving to second shift 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm.
Wage between $18.00 - $21.00 DOE
Responsibilities:
What You’ll Do:
The below describes a typical day as a member of our collaborative Manufacturing Department, but additional responsibilities may be required by the Process Engineering Manager.
- Oversee and manage the set-up and processing of all Plastic Molding machinery to support the success of our team of Machine Operators
- Perform diligent quality checks of product and machinery throughout the production cycle to ensure processes produce quality products throughout the day.
- Ensure daily production quotas are met by minimizing equipment downtime and innovating molding processes
- Troubleshoot discrepancies in product and manufacturing errors as they arise for all molding machines and ancillary equipment
- Work cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Plastic Molding, and Maintenance departments to support production timelines and success
- Manage change parts and materials needed to keep the equipment in top running condition.

Qualifications:
Who You Are:
- The ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years hands-on experience supporting blow and injection molding processes in a manufacturing setting
- You possess mechanical skills and have the ability to work in and on equipment in a safe and efficient manner to accomplish repair and maintenance tasks.
- You are diligent and experienced in Quality Assurance of manufactured products
- You are innovative and possess a strong technical knowledge of molding processes
- You are a team player who likes to work collaboratively and can quickly prioritize tasks
- You are an analytical problem-solver with proven ability to work from blueprints or schematics as they relate to machinery
- High school diploma or equivalent education required
