Medical Lab Technologist

Job Description:

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an excellent opportunity for a civilian Medical Lab Technologist at the US Naval Hospital in the US territory of Guam.

Position Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Bachelor's degree 
• Graduate from a medical technology program
• Current certification or equivalent as a Medical Technologist by the American Medical Technologists or American Society of Clinical Pathologists
• Possess a minimum of two years of experience within the last three years as a Medical Laboratory Technologist

Position Responsibilities:

• Perform a full range of automated and non-automated laboratory procedures in the area of chemistry, urinalysis, hematology, serology, and bacteriology
• Determine the suitability of specimens for analysis
• Prepare reagents and primary reference materials as necessary
• Recognize and react to indicators of malfunction
• Conduct quality control procedures on equipment
