Overview:

BerryDunn is seeking an experienced Learning Consultant – Assurance, Tax, and Advisory to join our Learning and Development team. You will be part of a high-performing, collaborative, and supportive team empowering a culture of continuous development and driving the implementation of evidence-based learning and development solutions in support of strategic business needs.

 

The preferred candidate will be in New England, although the location for this position can be flexible. Must be US based with the ability to collaborate on east coast time. Some travel required; 3 – 5 trips to our New England office locations annually. The position will report to the Director of Learning & Development.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with a high-performing, supportive, and creative Learning & Development Team
  • Work closely with two Learning Consultants who support other areas of BerryDunn’s business; partner to plan annual calendar of L&D courses, programs, and activities
  • Consult with stakeholders in the Assurance, Tax, and Advisory business area; conduct needs analyses; and identify evidence-based strategies and solutions to support business goals
  • Build trusted business advisor relationships with stakeholders, consult on needs and solutions, and provide learning and development expertise across the firm at all levels
  • Collaborate with various subject matter experts and other stakeholders, including Talent Management and HR Business Partners
  • Design, develop, and deliver virtual, in-person, and self-paced programs aligned with the firm’s vision and goals, L&D key performance activities, and development needs
  • Partner with external facilitators; ensure course and program objectives align with needs
  • Create learning products that adhere to NASBA continuing professional education requirements, and create clear and effective communications, processes, and reporting
  • Curate and create LinkedIn Learning and internal learning paths, programs, courses, and resources using an array of design approaches
  • Incorporate knowledge of group dynamics and change management processes into L&D initiatives and work environment
  • Innovate and improve learning and development activities based on evaluation data, feedback, and best practices
  • Provide exceptional service to our internal partners and staff
  • Stay current on learning and development best practices and future predictions
Qualifications:

You have proven experience:

  • Consulting with internal business leaders and stakeholders in the accounting, tax, and advisory industry and delivering shared success
  • Encouraging and building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation
  • Conducting needs analyses with business leaders
  • Recommending and prioritizing highly effective and engaging learning solutions using evidence-based learning practices in support of business objectives
  • Developing learner-centered development experiences – instructor-led, SME-led, e-learning, learning paths, reference materials, webinars, etc. – with broad ADDIE application
  • Adhering to and advising on accounting industry educational standards and delivery for in-person, virtual, hybrid, and self-study courses; knowledge of NASBA compliance requirements
  • Communicating information and ideas, and facilitating engaging and CPE-compliant in-person and virtual instructor-led learning experiences
  • Using performance data, engaging in continuous feedback, and evaluating learning activities to inform learning & development decisions
  • Innovating to improve learner engagement and experience
  • Using design technology such as Articulate, Rise, Camtasia, Snagit, and PowerPoint; LCvistaProlaera (or another LMS); SharePoint, Teams, and additional facets of Microsoft Office
  • Leading a project from start to finish; establishing and monitoring your time, details, milestones, and deliverables
  • In a firm that is a Continuing Professional Education (CPE) sponsor
  • Creating and contributing to an equitable, inclusive, and strengths-based work environment
Compensation Details:

The base salary range targeted for this role is $80,000 - $110,000. This salary range represents BerryDunn’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. If an applicant possesses experience, education, or other qualifications in excess of the minimum requirements for this posting, that applicant is encouraged to apply and a final salary range may then be based on those additional qualifications; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, years of experience, depth of experience, seniority, merit, education, training, amount of travel, and other relevant business considerations.
