Role Overview & Key Functions::

The Associate Director/Director of Strategic Planning and Launch Readiness is a strategic oncology expert responsible for leading commercial launch initiatives for new indications. This individual is a pivotal member of our team, orchestrating the successful execution of comprehensive launch plans, ensuring cross-functional alignment, and driving the strategic positioning of Karyopharm’s products in the market. Leveraging market intelligence and customer insights, this role is crucial in establishing clear objectives, timelines, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for launch initiatives.

 

Reporting to the VP, Marketing & New Product Planning, you will positively impact Karyopharm's success by:

  • Developing and implement comprehensive commercial launch readiness plans for new indications
  • Defining and communicating clear objectives, timelines, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for launch initiatives.
  • Coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure all aspects of the product launch are aligned and executed effectively.
  • Facilitating regular launch readiness reviews and update senior leadership on progress and any critical issues.
  • Serving as a primary point of contact for commercial launch activities and communications.
  • Working closely with commercial analytics to gather and analyze market intelligence and customer insights to inform launch strategies and positioning.
  • Collaborating with Program Team, New Product Planning, Sales, Marketing, Market Access and other departments to ensure readiness across the organization
  • Budgeting management and tracking
Candidate Profile & Requirements::
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in commercial launch planning and execution within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry. Oncology experience preferred.
  • Proven track record of successfully launching products or new indications in a commercial setting.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to develop and implement comprehensive plans.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to coordinate efforts across various departments.
  • Proficient in gathering and analyzing market intelligence and customer insights.
  • Ability to translate data into actionable launch strategies and positioning.
  • Experience presenting updates and critical issues to senior leadership.
  • Ability to think strategically and align launch plans with overall business objectives.
  • Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
