Position: Medical Receptionist (Remote)
Location: Remote (USA, Eastern Standard Time)
Type: Part-time (20 hours per week)
Schedule: Monday, Wednesday: 1 PM - 5 PM EST; Tuesday, Thursday: 1 PM - 7 PM EST


About the Role

We are a chiropractic office seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team on a part-time, remote basis. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical billing, medical coding, front desk operations, and a good understanding of chiropractic practices. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our office runs smoothly and efficiently by handling insurance verifications, preauthorization submissions, data entry, and scheduling appointments.

Responsibilities
  • Insurance Verification & Preauthorization: Verify patient insurance coverage and submit preauthorization requests efficiently.
  • Data Entry: Accurately enter patient information, insurance details, and other necessary data into our system.
  • Scheduling: Manage appointment scheduling for patients, ensuring a well-organized and timely flow of appointments.
  • Communication: Handle phone and email communications proficiently, providing exceptional customer service to patients.
  • Front Desk Operations: Perform general front desk duties including greeting patients, managing patient records, and assisting with billing inquiries.


Requirements
Required Skills
  • Medical Billing/Coding: Proficiency in medical billing and coding practices.
  • Front Desk Experience: Previous experience in a medical front desk or receptionist role.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional and friendly demeanor.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data entry and administrative tasks.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using various software and tools for scheduling and data management.
Preferred Skills
  • Customer Service Experience: Prior experience in providing customer service in a medical setting.
  • Familiarity with Insurance Processes: Knowledge of insurance verification and preauthorization procedures.
  • Multitasking: Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
