Senior Cloud Engineer

Overview:

TierPoint’s Public Cloud Managed Services team is a team of technologists leveraging our expertise to solve problems and drive innovation for our customers as a managed service. This team automates away the undifferentiated heavy lifting driving more value for our customers by focusing on their desired outcomes instead of watching the meter run. We are the next-generation of next-generation service providers! 

What We Do:

• Make it easier for our customers to operate in AWS
• Streamline the provisioning, management, monitoring, and support of customer workloads
• Drive operational efficiencies and best practices through automation and creative approaches
• Enforce best practices and provide cloud subject matter expertise
• Provide recommendations on workload optimizations, cost reduction opportunities, and design changes
• Participate in an on-call rotation for high severity incidents

What You Bring- Expert-level knowledge/experience in:

• AWS IaaS technologies (Firewalls, Load balancing, Compute, Storage, VPN)
• Hub-spoke connectivity, VNET peering, ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway, etc.
• Backup and Patching using AWS-native solutions
• Complex cloud, hybrid-cloud deployments & support
• Knowledge of IaC methodologies using ARM Templates / Bicep / Terraform
• CI/CD pipelines, DevOps
• Governance and Observability of cloud solutions
• IAM, DNS, Security
• AWS Solutions Architect Expert Certification or equivalent experience
• Subject-matter expert for all things AWS Cloud
• Design and Implementation of High Availability, High Performance resilient solutions with AWS native solutions
• Strong understanding of different attributes for cloud application availability, scalability, and ability to propose optimized design for cloud
• Specialization in Networking, Security, and or Data Management preferred
• AWS Well-Architected Framework

Preferred Experience:

• Knowledge/experience with PaaS & SaaS services
• Serverless architectures
• Secondary knowledge of Azure Cloud
• Containers / image management
• Knowledge/experience with multi-cloud Networking providers such as Megaport

Familiarity using the following tools:

• DataDog
• PagerDuty
• CloudCheckr
• Cloudockit
• Service-Now

Pay Transparency

It’s important to note the pay range may be narrower than displayed, as various factors are used to determine the offered compensation package including skill set, level of experience, geographic locations, and other relevant factors- i.e. budgetary requirements.

Pay Range $127,000.00 - $195,459.25
