The Vet Services Purchasing Systems Analyst is responsible for accurate setup, maintenance, and transactional input/output of the various veterinary ordering and inventory control systems. They will work closely with vendor partners & internal cross functional teams to setup & maintain veterinary pharmaceutical vendor accounts, support the setup & onboarding of new operating locations, setup & maintain system SKUs and create & deliver training & resource guides on the veterinary ordering & inventory control systems & processes.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Manage system setup and maintenance of SKUs including, but not limited to, SKU cost updates, discontinued/alternative products, unit of measure updates, VPNs, & Barcodes

2. Collaborate with vendor partners to maintain accurate shared SKU Catalogs for accurate EDI transmissions & invoicing activity

3. Analyze SKU transactions to ensure accurate activity posting (IE Weight Average Cost, Inventory Unit of Measure conversions, etc.)

4. Setup & maintain location specific Vendor accounts for pharmaceutical & controlled drug ordering (including DOR/DEA licensing & permitting)

5. Manage maintenance of Ordering & Inventory support systems & processes (Oracle RMS, Polaris, PMS, POS, etc.)

6. Liaison for cross functional Petco systems used by the Veterinary Services for Ordering & Inventory support; representing Veterinary wants/needs accounted for within Petco holistic systems/applications

7. Collect and rationalize data from Petco systems to ensure accuracy in system input/outputs

8. Maintain data integrity of databases and make changes as required to enhance accuracy, usefulness, and access

9. Support setup & onboarding of new operating locations within ordering & inventory systems / processes

10. Create and deliver training materials & support for Ordering & Inventory systems / processes

11. Investigate cross-functional discrepancies to reconcile significant variances

12. Provide input in developing inventory buying strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Systems Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field - will consider industry experience and/or technical certifications in lieu of degree

· 3+ years of experience in procurement, veterinary operations and/or ERP Systems

· Knowledge of Veterinary Medicine and Veterinary Operations preferred

· Experience with analytical reporting tools (Excel, MicroStrategy, PowerBI, data modeling)

· Experience in ERP / inventory management systems

· Advanced knowledge of change management including updates to training documents, process design and communication

· Strong Analytical Skills

· Must be capable of critical thinking and analysis to solve poorly defined problems

· Must be able to convert complex ideas into real executable action steps, with a focus on results

· Self-directed and able to work independently with minimal oversight

· Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while delivering a timely and high-quality end work product
