What You Will be Doing:

Providing support to the Employment Service units, maintaining and updating records and files of work performed, creating lists to monitor other activities. Keying Employment Services related data, answering phone as needed and taking message or referring caller. Providing front desk reception; directing customers, responding to customer inquiries and other duties as assigned.

 In this role you will:

  • Answer front desk telephone and direct calls to appropriate person or unit, and take accurate, detailed messages.

  • Greet customers at front desk and update the office tracker with customers to be served.

  • Receive data for keying. Enters data, Proofread and correct errors on screen before entering data into computer.

  • Sort and distribute incoming packages or parcels to appropriate staff.

  • Maintain office copier / printer.  

  • Assist with ordering, receiving, distributing office supplies. Maintain office inventory and keep stock room organized.

  • Record and type staff/unit meeting minutes, distribute copies to appropriate staff.

  • Update and file information on policy and office procedures.

  • Current OED or relevant office related experience.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

One year of general clerical experience that includes keyboarding, word processing, or other experience generating documents;

OR

An equivalent combination of experience and college coursework or training in a general office occupation.

This position will report to the Portland Metro SE WorkSource Oregon Center office and is not suitable for remote or hybrid remote work.
