Assistant Vice President – Canada R&W
• Assist Managing Director in establishing Ambridge’s office in Canada
• Engage in marketing efforts to establish Ambridge’s local presence in Canada
• Assist in hiring of a junior level associate/analyst
• Review and underwrite Canadian R&W opportunities
• Review claims and provide any necessary support related thereto to the claims team.
• negotiate and draft insurance policies with insurance brokers, the proposed insureds and their advisors.
• Conduct due diligence to analyze the risk to be insured, including (i) reviewing asset and merger agreements, disclosure schedules, data room materials and financial and operational records of prospective insureds, (ii) leading conference calls with the proposed insured and their advisors to discuss the risk to be insured; and (iii) preparing conference call agendas.
• Manage, train and mentor a junior R&W underwriter once hired.
• Collaborate with colleagues from Ambridge Europe/Ambridge US to assist in cross-border underwriting.
