Job Summary:
The Product Support Engineer works to resolve escalated issues that arise in production software environments that require advanced technical investigations and knowledge.
Essential Functions: Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform technical investigations of issues with platforms using tools including Postman, MySQL, and code repositories
- Update and create widgets and adapters in core platforms
- Act as an expert in file transmission and processing services such as ISO, NACHA, SFTP, FTPS, SSH, and PGP/GPG encryption
- Monitor and automate platform administer alerts
- Write and promote stop gap alerts
- Provide insight and forward-looking feedback on resiliency audits
- Write and submit data pipe tickets
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Technical proficiency in using tools such as MySQL, Postman, & git.
- Analytical and process-oriented mindset
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Impeccable work ethic
Education and Experience:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
- A minimum of 3 years in software or payments industries, preferably within a Fintech
Preferred:
- A minimum of 5 years in software or payments industries, preferably within a Fintech
- A minimum of 2 years of software development experience
- Combined background of product support and technical experience
- Master’s degree in computer science or equivalent
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
- Must possess the physical and mental abilities to perform the tasks normally associated with an office position that involves standing, sitting, reaching, manual dexterity to operate office machines, stooping, bending to handle files and supplies, and mobility to complete errands or deliveries
- May work at computer monitors for prolonged periods with danger of eye strain and muscle pain.
