Payroll Specialist - South Korea

The Role in a Nutshell :

This role will perform a variety of administrative support duties for payroll related work.  He/She should have an affinity for numbers and a passion for promoting business operations. He/She should be able to identify and correct payroll related errors before these affect the payroll run. The role demands confidentiality, integrity, and a commitment to customer and employee service.

How you will make a difference:

• Computes and processes multiple pay cycle payrolls accurately included year-end tax return and in a timely manner in accordance with the Labor law and maintains all related records.
• Completes payroll & Social insurance and responds to payroll-related inquiries from relevant government and/or regulatory agencies
• Submission monthly withholding tax report and new application / termination report for social insurance timely. 
• Sets up and reconciles voluntary payroll deductions, prepares reports, identifies and researches exceptions, and remits payments 
• Assistance Processes garnishments including child supports, tax levies, student loans, etc.
• Assists the team with messaging, writing, editing, researching and related support for external and internal communications.
• Maintains payroll related files and records included social insurance and severance pay
• Maintains records and prepares disbursement requests.
• Uses specialized computer software and input all required data related payroll timely
• Assist with all activities necessary to processing payroll, including maintaining related records.
• Assist resolve any discrepancies surrounding payroll issues with urgency
• Other duties as assigned

What will give you an advantage:

• Two-year junior college graduates or Bachelor’s degree in related area between one year and two (2) years of related experience/training.
• Ability to learn and utilize payroll entry and software
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word & Outlook), Excel (formulas and standardizing data)
• Ability to maintain focus and practice agility in prioritizing daily workload
• Ability to deal with sensitive with confidential information
• Ability to understand and follow standard operating policies and procedures.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary.
• Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude.
• Practical oral and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and an effective team player.
