What you’d be doing in this role

As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.

We are searching for an experienced Product Manger to help us lead the team strategy and roadmap and get deep into development, working closely with design and engineering partners. This includes defining and delivering end-to-end experiences that empower our users to have the most productive collaborations within their teams. Your sphere of ownership covers how our users collaborate in real-time, communicate with their team, manage notifications and so much more!

At the moment, this role is focused on:

  • Engaging with technical, product, design and business stakeholders to prioritise and build what really matters for our user community
  • Driving customer research in the Collaboration space to inform a user-centric strategy
  • Regularly reviewing and refreshing the strategy and product roadmap for Collaborative Communications through open and inclusive collaboration with the cross-functional leadership team.
  • Building a deep understanding of Collaboration’s competitive position in major markets and ensure we maintain a strong position that aligns with our growth targets.
  • Leading as a subject matter expert on the end-to-end user experience across key user segments within Collaboration and setting priorities to continuously improve the core value and experience for users.
  • Understanding key company priorities that what we build that contribute to Canva achieving it’s Crazy Big Goals.

You're probably a match if

  • You have experience defining the vision of early stage products and building them into larger, high-functioning ones.
  • You have a proven track record of setting strategic vision and achieving significant product improvements, ideally with consumer products that lean heavily on interactive content to drive user engagement.
  • You have a Start-up mindset, with a focus on substantial gains rather than incremental improvements.
  • You have deep user empathy, understand user needs and prioritise user experience
  • You are adaptable and can manage change and uncertainty with resilience
  • You have demonstrated the ability to influence other teams and a cross section of senior stakeholders, across the broader company and different specialties (e.g. Design, Eng, Data) to ensure that everyone is rowing in the same direction
  • You are passionate about AI and how it can solve real customer problems.
  • You are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and lean into the detail when needed to drive towards successful project delivery.


About the team

The Collaboration Group is on a mission to empower everyone to be a productive, connected and confident collaborator. This year, our group is doubling down on a number of critical initiatives to help us achieve our company level strategy of driving teams and collaboration in Canva. We want to make Canva the tool that every team big and small wants to use to collaborate and communicate in everyday - from the classroom to the workplace.

So far we’ve launched a range of communication, real-time, sharing & publishing capabilities but this is just the beginning of our journey. As the Product Manager joining the Collaboration Group, you will help us drive towards making Canva a household name in every team.
