  • An exciting role that will see you partnering across Retail & eCommerce within the Langtons team.

As the Finance Manager, you will lead the finance function within the Langton’s business; effectively partnering the business through its new strategic direction by providing commercial & analytical support.

This position sits on the Langtons leadership team and will lead the analysis, reporting, planning, and forecasting activities that enable company decision-making and strategic planning. The role will unlock transparency and visibility to performance against the plan, including management of key risks & opportunities.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:

  • Lead the strategic planning processes for the Langton’s business including use of data & insights to understand key growth opportunities.
  • Drive commercial accountability across the Langtons’ business leaders to deliver their plan through creation of a performance measurement framework.
  • Preparation & management of profitability reporting including month end P&L results along with supporting commentary.
  • Own & manage planning processes including annual budgeting and monthly forecast processes, effectively encapsulating business plans and understanding their financial implications.
  • Introduce transparency & visibility of business performance including identification of risks & opportunities.
  • Effectively evaluate key investment decisions through establishing an objective view of project benefits with the use of investment return metrics such as IRR,NPV & ROI.  
  • Partner with internal business partners and leaders across the organisation to understand the current and future analytical and reporting goals and deliver data-driven scalable reporting solutions to drive both strategic and tactical decisions.
  • Lead commercial discussions across the endeavour group as it relates to Langtons including warehousing, delivery, technology/EX and Dan Murphy’s.
     

Qualifications

Now let’s talk about you: 

  • Experience in Financial Management (7+ years).
  • Bachelor or higher University Degree in a relevant field.
  • CA or CPA qualified.
  • Experience in working a large corporate or matrix organisation.
  • Experience in Retail eCommerce is preferable, (2+ Years)
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Advanced skills with Google Drive & associated programs.
