Role Summary:

The Web Services Manager will support our corporate website (GTT.net) and drive a best-in-class digital and website experience for our customers through consistent optimizations.  The individual in this role will be empowered to lead the collaborative design and development of intuitive user experiences resulting in subsequent analysis of user data and performance.  These insights will be used to refine and optimize the customer experience through implementations of industry best practices, software, and tools.

Job Scope/Supervision:

This role interacts with Marketing, Communications, Product teams, and Sales.  This role will report to the Director of Web Services on the Demand Generation team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Director of Web Services to evaluate emerging technologies and provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate on the GTT corporate website.
  • In partnership with internal resources and external agencies, manage and administer web related requests (technical and content), including enhancements, code changes, and modifications within the content management system (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery).
  • Lead (plan, publish, and maintain) the development cycle for Demand Generation and Marketing focused projects that support cross-initiative alignment with the strategic vision of the website, marketing, sales, and technology roadmap. Including: write user stories, sign off on development, participate in UAT sessions, validate the release into production, communicate results, and hand off the completed technology to appropriate business partners for their use.
  • Ensure website content and taxonomy is maintained, across all six sites and their respective languages, by proactively engaging and managing expectations within the Demand Generation and Global Marketing team.
  • Implement content schedules and conduct audits to identify and resolve gaps to ensure continuous success of the Demand Generation and Global Marketing content strategy.
  • Work closely with the development agency to maintain the flow of workload while ensuring a quick response to issues (both user and web related) and timely execution of marketing initiatives and enhancements.
  • Develop and continuously optimize documentation pertaining to web related requests to improve operational efficiencies within the Global Marketing team and development partners.
  • Conduct end to end testing on web related requests to ensure sound deployments and a seamless customer experience while addressing all requirements.
  • With a performance and data analysis mindset, monitor web traffic, utilization, and site performance of our corporate website; evaluate data to identify, prevent and resolve UX and performance ranking issues.
  • Manage the software and tools that require integration with our corporate website.
  • Assist in search engine marketing planning, implementation, and management of strategy with an understanding of SEO best practices.
  • Assist in managing a suite of digital marketing and web-based services such as but not limited to Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, Google My Business, Vimeo, YouTube, Wistia.
  • Assist in managing the corporate Intranet (SharePoint) – work with departments across the business to understand their needs and requirements. Co-ordinating with internal IT teams and external developers to execute upon those requirements.

Required Experience/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 6-8 years of experience working in a CMS/website management platform for complex, global scale, multilingual websites that serve multiple user personas and complex buyer journeys – ideally WordPress.
  • The ability to serve as the Product Owner within a development cycle.
  • Technically minded, with an understanding of how modern websites are designed and structured while maintaining a focus on UX/UI and accessibility considerations.
  • Highly competent within HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and other web technologies allowing updates to the source code.
  • Experience working with website integrations and an understanding of how data flows, specifically to a marketing automation platform (Marketo) and CRM.
  • Highly organized with excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, willingness to learn new technologies, and knowledge of the entire organization.
  • An understanding of SEM best practices, specifically SEO (technical, on-page, and off-page) and how it relates to optimizing web related requests.
  • Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager experience.
  • Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator experience – experience using the entire Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Microsoft SharePoint experience – experience using the entire Microsoft Suite.

Hours/Travel/Shift:

Typical business hours for the respective time zone with occasional travel.
