YOUR ROLE:

The Technology Delivery Manager will be responsible for the operations relating to the technical planning and delivery of one or more projects, supporting the VP, Technology in ensuring projects are delivered per agreed scope on committed schedule.

As a technology delivery manager you will be responsible for creating a structured project delivery planning for the scheduling, tracking and managing of engineering projects.

The role focuses on hands on planning and execution of client deliverables to ensure that technology projects are delivered on quality, time, budget, and to specification. This will involve expertise in scoping of new projects, thorough estimation of work, capture technical business requirements and building / managing a plan to successful delivery.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with Business Analysts and Technical Architects to collect and document functional and non-functional requirements from various stakeholders (clients, strategy, account, creative, customers, finance, analytics).
  • Collaborate with Engineering Leads (data, software, devops, frontend, qa) to turn these requirements into solutions (features, process automation, applications, complex campaign automations).
  • Create a detailed inventory of cross-disciplinary tasks required to achieve the solution, including effort by role, key dependencies, and sequencing, documented in a detailed project plan.
  • Manage these plans through to successful development, implementation, deployment in production, in time and withing the budget and scope constraints.
  • Assign active project tasks based on teams’ skillsets, bandwidth available and experience levels.
  • Continuously monitor project plan progress and effort consumption (burn) to surface early any risk of over-utilization/cost.
  • Interface with key stakeholders to share progress regularly and surface risks, issues and mitigation plans.
  • Assist Product Owners in breaking down complex features into smaller component parts, easing the ability for others to execute these technical scopes/projects.
  • Monitor adoption & usage of features by customers post deployment and gather feedback for potential improvements.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 10+ years of experience in Project Management in Technology. Proven ability to delivery technology projects in complex and highly governed environments.
  • Experience working closely with Technical/Functional project teams to lead project the team from intake to rollout of assigned tasks.
  • Expert in Software Development Lifecycle for applications and platform development. Proven track record of Agile Delivery and Scrum Methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging project management software solutions to manage both waterfall and agile projects (Workfront, Atlassian, MS Project, Smartsheet or similar).
  • Experience working on projects on Cloud Platforms AWS, Azure or GCP.
  • Solutions-oriented, Collaborative, and with great people skills.
  • Detail oriented, organized, and with ability to meet deadlines while working several projects simultaneously.
  • A self-driven individual with the capability and spirit to build/manage a team.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Project delivery experience with Configuration and Deployment of outbound Marketing Campaigns (email, SMS, Push, Outbound, Direct Mail) and implementing Data Driven Decision Workflows.
  • Experience of working with Marketing Technology solutions such as Pega CDH, Sales Force or similar.
  • Experience working with Cloud Data Platforms in AWS GovCloud.
  • Experience working in Federal Government / FedRamp environment.
  • Certification in traditional project management such as PRINCE2 or similar.
  • Scrum Master certification.

This range is specific to Chicago and multiple factors are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: skill set, experience and training, certifications; etc. This is an exempt position.
