Sr. Software Engineer

Overview:

Otter Products is currently seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to join our Information Technology team! You can be based 100% remote in the US or in our Fort Collins, CO office.

 

We are looking for an SFRA experienced Sr. Software Engineer to join our team. The Sr. Software Engineer uses their skills, concepts and knowledge to design, develop and maintain applications required to support the business in achieving goals and objectives through increased productivity and profitability. This individual manages multiple responsibilities and projects simultaneously, including but not limited to code review, software testing, deployment and maintenance, and leads teams on development projects while acting as a mentor to more junior software engineers. The Sr. Software Engineer is a member of the Application Development team providing application implementation and support for new and existing systems throughout the organization with a focus on SFRA. • Collaborate with software architects to develop technical designs that align with business requirements
• Partner with the business to understand, analyze and translate business requirements into optimal software designs
• Independently troubleshoot software and system issues, making changes to existing applications, processes, and/or systems to achieve resolution
• Work independently on projects and defects of significant complexity and ambiguity to design and develop software solutions applying best practices
• Mentor junior level software engineers on best practices to support their continued development and growth
• Perform code reviews and participate in architecture and infrastructure discussions and plans to ensure applications and systems are operating correctly
• Create, maintain and improve a secure, robust, and maintainable software environment to support business needs
• Estimate the level of effort to complete software projects to ensure timely accurate and timely completion of tasks and predictable resource allocations
• Lead software testing, deployment, and maintenance activities on supported applications including but not limited to Salesforce Commerce Cloud
• Support and maintain a positive safety culture by following all safety policies and procedures and actively contributing to a safe working environment
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required. Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or other Information Technology related field preferred. Experience in lieu of degree may be considered.
• Minimum of four years of software developer or programming experience required.
• Experience with SFRA required.
• Full stack development with: HTML, JS, CSS, ISML, Jobs Framework, REST services integration, MVC Design Patterns/Architecture required
