In this position...

What You'll Do...

  • Lead design and release actions for Genuine Ford and Ford Performance Parts accessories.
  • Manage a team of over 50 employees located in 3 countries include 6 Direct Reports.
  • Ensure the team addresses all Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) and applicable.
  • Lead the interface with planning, program management, vehicle programs and other teams.
  • Manage accessory design rules, requirements and foundation documents.
  • Manage compatibility and weight for accessory program content.
  • Lead engineering team to ensure program required dates and events are achieved.
  • Oversee and provide final sign-off for all accessory programs, deviations and 8Ds.
  • Coordinate and manage efficiency and waste reduction actions.
  • Support global alignment of accessory development processes.
  • Review and approve department purchases and travel.


You'll have...

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Production Development/Design and Release.
  • Strong knowledge of Global Product Development System (GPDS).
  • Understanding of basic Ford engineering tools (FEDEBOM / WERS / Team Center / Bill of Material / AIMS / 5Ds / eFDVS / Engineering Sign Off / DFMEA / Six Sigma).
