Description

Our niche in the retail and auto services sector presents a compelling opportunity for you to lead a dynamic team through every phase of project development, from inception to completion (DD, SD, CD, and CA). As the Architecture Team Lead, you'll be at the helm, fostering a culture of excellence that aligns with our shared values. We're seeking someone with a proven track record of leadership, demonstrated by successfully guiding approximately 4 or more staff members and cultivating client relationships.

Your ability to connect with people, both internally and externally, and effectively communicate will be paramount as you support, empower, and guide your team members towards success. This position sees a minimum of 10+ years of experience, ideally within the retail market sector, and a license as a professional architect.

Your deep understanding of the design and construction processes, coupled with your collaborative spirit, will drive innovation and efficiency within our multi-disciplinary team environment.

This role is remote and requires the individual to travel to Bentonville, Arkansas every six week for for in-person collaboration and people/project management for a week.

Job Responsibilities and People Skills needed include, but are not limited to:

  • Fully responsible for leading client teams, which includes projects, programs and people, both within the firm and in its relationships with the various clients.
  • Responsible for leading Designers and Professionals on a day-to-day basis and helping the team prioritize multiple deliverable and deadlines, while supporting our people and providing mentorship to young talent, engaging through in person and digital engagement tools, and intentional approach to communicating on a regular basis with team, other leaders and clients.
  • Delivers high quality construction documents and project delivery excellence to our clients by means of performing quality control and quality assurance reviews.
  • Works with Sr. Team Leads, Executives and other Team Leads to ensure the company is working as a single enterprise striving to exemplify HFA culture, including our high level of collaboration and ONEHFA embodiment, while supporting company adopted standard procedures and processes.
  • Works with Sr. Team Lead or Executives to determine team structure and talent needs based on projects and workload expectations. Supporting and empowering our people and their development and growth, including tracking progress and providing guidance on goals for team members, as well as objectives and communicating and implementing Performance Improvement Plans when needed.
  • Set budgets for their client(s) and projects and is responsible to the Sr. Team Lead/Executive for ensuring the client program(s) are profitable. Proposal and contract preparation, as well as monthly invoicing and financial projections, and follow-ups for uncollected payments are critical components of this role.
  • Possess strong financial understanding and be able to work with Sr. Team Lead/Executive to accurately state the financial performance of their client(s).
  • Participates in Marketing and Business Development in conjunction with Executives or Sr. Team Lead.
