About the Role: We are seeking a dynamic and technically savvy Field Sales Associate to join our Industrial Filtration Team supporting North America. This role is ideal for a mechanically inclined professional with a hands-on approach to industrial support and a passion for problem-solving. This sales associate will drive new business growth and revenue for Gore's Industrial Filtration Metals Team in the Lead and Steel Industries while partnering with a cross-functional team of industry experts in support of maintaining existing business while hunting for new business growth opportunities.

This sales associate will partner with Gore Filtration Lab Technicians for a period of 12- months on filter bag evaluations and forensic analysis in support of accelerated learning and knowledge transfer.

This role will support North America and will be based in the Mid-Atlantic Region with a location preference to Newark, Delaware or Elkton, Maryland areas.

This is a remote position, and you can work from home in most locations that are in the Mid-Atlantic Region: Newark, Delaware, Elkton, Maryland, or surrounding areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with customers to understand needs and develop insights as well as their leadership with technical capability and buying influencers
  • Generate territory sales plan, including owning and mapping of account base opportunity funnel and forecast for sales growth in the target account base
  • Partner with application engineers on testing new product concepts in targeted market segments as well as support of installation and troubleshooting
  • Apply learned understanding of market needs, trends, competitive analysis, and value-chain dynamics to support market facing team
  • Verify and validate that existing products meet fitness-for-use based on customer application requirements
  • Partner with the product and technical team to analyze competitive alternatives and assess Gore’s product positioning and value proposition
  • Help to align and drive expectations between customers, application engineers, technical and manufacturing for product and company performance
  • Lead customer support, application engineering, and service efforts for assigned accounts
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with regional accounts and a focus in core markets
  • Effectively communicate and persuade stakeholders across all organizational levels, from plant operations to executive leadership


Required Qualifications:

  • BS degree, or equivalent work experience with a minimum 3 years of experience selling value-added equipment or services
  • Experience working, selling, and supporting industrial on construction market segments
  • Proven history in developing new customers, applications, and business opportunities
  • Mechanically inclined with a hands-on approach to industrial support
  • Excellent strategic and value-selling skills
  • Persuasive communication and presentation abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to problem-solve, identify root cause of technical issues, and balance customer needs with maintaining project profitability
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate accounts and develop economic buyers
  • Must be able to wear all Personal Protective Equipment including full-face and half-face respirators, work at heights and within confined spaces, as well as perform annual heavy metals blood and hearing testing
  • Must be able to travel 50% of the time within the United States and Canada to support regional accounts


Desired Qualifications:

  • Extract application requirements from clients and translate them into detailed product proposals.
  • Experience in Salesforce
  • Ability to work nights and weekends to meet customer needs
