This role is 100% remote with possible travel to the head quarters in South Florida. This is a 6 month contract to hire role. The client is not willing to sponsor any candidates at this time.
Years of Experience: Want someone who has been an Architect for 2-3 years. Do NOT want someone who has been an actually architect for 7-10 years because they will get bored, and won't be able to grow them as much.
Required tasks for the role include building and optimizing the business' Data
Warehouse / Data Lake platform, data collection systems, and processing pipelines, which will primarily align with the development efforts surrounding multiple platforms within PlanHub and the data integration between systems.
What you will be doing:
- MySQL or SQL Server - They use MySQL
- AWS, S3, RedShift, CloudFormation for CI/CD
- Python
- ETL

What you will be doing:
- Engage in hands-on coding activities to implement solutions, develop prototypes, and contribute to the overall development efforts
- Architect, design, build, migrate, and stabilize Data Warehouse / Data Lake platform
- Analyze raw, structured, and unstructured data to identify and optimize data sets and entities of interest
- Ensure alignment between engineering, and analytical activities
- Search for, obtain, analyze, and share information about datasets and their contents
- Tune performance of Data Warehouse / Data Lake platform Improve Data Warehouse / Data Lake monitoring and alerting Guide Data Engineers on new product initiatives
- Define, develop, and optimize queries for product, insights, dashboards, and reporting
- Guide and develop code deployment and tooling
- Assist Data Engineers and Software Developers with query optimizations
- Review and troubleshoot reported issues
