Your missions

Customer Engineer

Are you passionate about technical evangelism, resolving complex issues and helping customers onboard to new technologies? Do you enjoy creating exceptional customer experiences and working with a team of highly motivated individuals?

As a Customer Engineer at Patch My PC, you will help demonstrate the value of Patch My PC products and how they integrate and enhance our customer’s investment in Microsoft Configuration Manager and Intune to automate third-party application management. You will also assist customers in deploying our solutions to meet their security and compliance needs while providing exceptional support throughout the customer relationship lifecycle.

This position is full-time and fully remote, work from home (WFH). Candidates must live and be authorized to work within the United Kingdom or Europe. For this position, we are looking for a candidate that can work standard business hours 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM 

Important: This position requires you to have a working knowledge of Microsoft Configuration Manager and Intune.

Compensation Information:

  • Salary Range: £37,900 - £89,600 (this may be different based on local currencies)
    • The salary range is wide as we are accepting applications from across Europe (25+ countries). The salary will be based on location (country) and experience.
  • Other Bonuses
    • We offer additional bonuses for each positive customer survey (paid quarterly)

Required Skills and Experience:

  • At least 5 years working with either Microsoft Configuration Manager and Intune
  • At least 5 years working in a technical support role
  • Experience of using Windows in a virtual environment e.g. Hyper-V
  • Have the capacity to quickly learn new tools and technologies
  • Able to explain technical concepts to a variety of audiences
  • An understanding of application packaging
  • Enjoy solving technical issues
  • Possess critical thinking skills to help troubleshoot issues
  • Have strong communication skills
  • Be comfortable presenting/leading customer-facing calls with regard to product demos/setups/reviews

Desirable Skills and Experience (Candidate experience level will be reflected in the salary offered):

  • At least 5 years of experience working with Microsoft Configuration Manager and Intune with large enterprise customers
  • PowerShell skills
  • Experience working with GitHub and/or Azure DevOps
  • Experienced with WSUS integration and troubleshooting
  • Understanding of how certificates are created, deployed and used within an enterprise environment
  • Knowledgeable on software updates and application deployment within Configuration Manager or Intune
  • Experience packaging applications
  • An awareness of security and best practice for patching Windows devices

Your day-to-day responsibilities will be:

  • 3 Customer facing Teams calls
    • Pre-Sales product demos of Patch My PC products
    • Setup calls helping customers install and configure Patch My PC products
    • Proactive customer environment reviews
  • Working within multiple support channels (Email, webchat, telephone, forum)
  • Continually improve skills and experience with our product
  • Continually improve skills and experience with our depending products
    • Configuration Manager (ConfigMgr)
    • Intune 
    • WSUS
  • This position will be work from home with a small amount (2-3 weeks per year) of travel for corporate sponsored events, conferences, trade shows, and user group meetings
