Data Engineer (Remote)

We are looking for an experienced data engineer who will analyze and transform raw data into useful data systems that are aligned with business goals. The role includes the assessment and architecture of consolidated data structure that will be the main source of organizational data analytics and reporting. The role will also design the manner of transferring data from different data sources. Will also be responsible in making sure that data structures are designed and are performing in an optimal and efficient manner

Requirements

• Analyze and organize large, complex sets of data that meet non-functional and functional business requirements
• Identifying, designing and implementing internal process improvements including re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes
• Building required infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation and loading of data from various data sources using the appropriate technologies
• Building analytical tools to utilize the data pipeline, providing actionable insight into key business performance metrics including operational efficiency and customer acquisition
• Automate data workflows such as data ingestion, aggregation, and ETL processing.
• Prepare raw data in Data Warehouses into a consumable dataset for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Build, maintain, and deploy data products for analytics and data science teams on cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, privacy, security, and compliance through quality control procedures.
• Identify opportunities for data acquisition that align with business needs
• Monitor data systems performance and implement optimization strategies.
• Collaborate with data analysts, developers and product owners on several projects

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a data engineer or in a similar role
• Technical expertise with data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques
• Advanced SQL skills and experience with relational databases and database design
• Experience working with cloud Data Warehouse solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Azure, etc.)
• Experience working with data ingestion tools such as Fivetran, stitch, or Matillion.
• Working knowledge of Cloud-based solutions (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to work independently and with a team.
