Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Education Program Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will supervise and provide leadership for the Office of Special Education and Early Learning's Transition Education Unit. Your responsibilities will include fostering partnerships, managing resources, supporting student engagement initiatives, and organizing statewide summits focused on transition education for students with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and lead the Transition Education Unit.

Establish and maintain partnerships with stakeholders.

Develop and manage a resource database to support unit goals.

Coordinate Disability Innovation Fund initiatives.

Plan and facilitate statewide summits on transition education.

Monitor and report on initiative progress and outcomes.

Collaborate with community partners to enhance transition services.

Communicate effectively with stakeholders and provide regular updates.

Minimum Requirements

Education: Master's degree in education or a related field.

Experience: Six years of professional experience in education, career and technical education, or a related field.

Working Conditions

Work is typically performed in an office or school setting, with occasional travel required.

Additional Information

Applicants under contract with a local school district must provide a written release from their superintendent prior to employment offer.

This position participates in the Teachers' Retirement System (TRS) per KRS 161.220.

This is a federally funded time-limited position, supported by a federal grant.
