About The Job

The Marketing Communications Specialist is an internal role. The individual in this role will create marketing content on behalf of the agency. Examples of projects include leading the writing and production of requests for proposal (RFP) responses, creating marketing collateral, and helping manage the development of presentations for client-facing team members. The Marketing Communications Specialist will also be responsible for creating case studies, award entries, blog posts, marketing emails, social media posts, and web pages to showcase Madden's capabilities and demonstrated success.

No idea is too big and no detail is too small for a Marketing Communications Specialist. They need to both see the forest for the trees and dots the I's and cross the T's. This person has the creativity to come up with unique approaches to content marketing while also being observant and organized to ensure compliance with RFP requirements and deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Works with business development team members to manage RFP process, including the creation of proposals
  • Writes proposals, case studies, award entries, blog posts, marketing emails, social media posts, and web pages
  • Works with designers to integrate brand identity, creative assets, imagery, and graphics into marketing content
  • Proofs all marketing content developed by other agency team members for brand consistency and proper grammar

Preferred Experience

  • Familiarity with RFP process, especially for government agency RFPs
  • Familiarity with the tourism industry, especially DMOs
