Your Impact

The primary purpose of this role is to drive company thinking in advanced analytics and insights specific to market insights and real estate investment to drive better ROIs across Lowe's areas of investment. This person will also have responsibility for ensuring that analyses and insights are accurate, impactful, timely and efficient.

What You Will Do:

  • Determine best store locations for future investment: This effort will enable senior leadership understand where to allocate future investments for Lowe’s growth and competitiveness in market.
  • The key responsibilities to deliver this effort include: Working to ensure the appropriate data reliability and structure for analysis and with supplier-partners to ensure accurate, robust and actionable market prioritization models; Deploying results from the real estate models with a simple yet compelling message and recommendation that drives action on the part of the business leaders
  • Manage supply chain site location program for all relevant supply chain nodes including but not limited to final mile location analysis and creation of delivery areas, timing, and day of the week that is in production for all of Lowe’s delivery systems to be used as single source of delivery truth.
  • Spatial Model Development: This effort will be to develop predictive statistical models for use in forecasting new stores, transfer sales, relocations, and explain spatial relationships between sister stores.
  • Models are currently in place, but throughout this year they will need refreshed and other predictive model types will be explored.
  • More models will help to target only the best opportunities for Lowe’s to invest in smart growth for both Lowe’s big box, Supply Chain, and Lowe's Pro Supply.
  • Ad hoc geospatial project management. Department responsible for over 250 projects per year.
  • Geodatabase Management: - This effort requires a strong geospatial background and database management skills. - Using ArcGIS, ArcPy, Python to manage our spatial data warehouse - Making changes and updating both Lowe’s and competitor geographies through monthly updates.
  • Owner of geodatabase, and ESRI portal. Manages all updates to geodatabase in collaboration with IT and ESRI experts to maintain compliance and top in class geodatabase management and security. Geodatabase is the single source of truth for geospatial information for Lowe’s.
  • Competitive and Customer understanding based on market insights: - This effort will enable senior leadership to determine where best to allocate future communication investments for Lowe’s growth and competitiveness as well as how best to respond (or whether to respond) to competitive entry and activities in market.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree - Geography, Statistics, Econometrics, Information Sciences, Applied Quantitative or related field & 5+ years of experience in applied advanced analytical role OR
  • Master’s Degree – Related Field & 3+ years of experience in applied advanced analytic role and 5+ years’ experience working with ArcGIS and ArcSDE
  • Demonstrated experience working cross functionally
  • Experience leading people directly or indirectly
  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

Preferences:

  • 4+ years (e.g., Alteryx, PowerBI, Tableau, SAS, SPSS, SQL, customer segmentation schemes such as Mosaic, Personicx, etc)
  • 4+ years of experience working with analytic software (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau, SAS, SPSS, R, Python)
  • Experience sing a querying language (e.g., SQL)
  • Sales forecasting experience
  • Experience with relational database management, database marketing and/ or customer centric analytics
  • Experience working with unstructured/big data
  • Experience working in a retail environment

Pay Range for CA, CO, HI, NJ, NY, WA: $81,200.00 - $135,400.00 annually
