Spiirall, a rapidly growing startup specializing in outsourced learning and development services for public accounting firms, is seeking an innovative coach to lead our Talent Advisor team. This is a remote position offering the ability to telecommute from anywhere in the continental US, so long as you live within an hour from a major airport.

What you’ll be doing:

The Director of Talent Advisor Services will collaborate with clients and Spiirall’s Client Strategy Team to design, sell, and deliver coaching solutions to clients that address their most pressing employee development needs. You’ll build upon our already successful coaching line of business to make our coaching solutions a game-changing strategic advantage for the clients we partner with. Your time will be focused in the following areas (time percentages are estimates and will adjust based on client/firm needs):

  • 35% invested in Client Service activities
  • 20% invested in Team and Operations Management
  • 20% invested in Business Development and Growth activities
  • 25% invested in Additional Key Responsibilities and administrative tasks to include professional development, Spiirall team meetings, time off, etc.

Client Service

  • Connect with stakeholders and leaders in firms to identify what people need to learn; or do differently to stay current. Engage in needs assessment process to identify learning and performance gaps related to training and coaching.
  • Identify vision, goals, and action steps for Talent Advisor team to link the coaching vision to the overall strategic vision of customer firms.
  • Collaborate with Directors of Learning Strategy to ensure learning and coaching objectives are aligned.
  • Provide coaching / Talent Advisor services to 20-25 clients per month at multiple levels within client firms.

Team and Operations Management

  • Identify the technology, process, and talent needed to build a sustainable and profitable line of business.
  • Supervise Talent Advisors and independently contracted coaches, to include: ensuring work is completed on time and within budget; training, setting goals, scheduling and planning work, coaching, evaluating performance, interviewing, hiring, terminations, inspecting work, and evaluating the effectiveness of operations.
  • Assess and implement changes in team structure in order to meet customers’ changing needs.
  • Ensure the Talent Advisor line of business meets profitability expectations.

Business Development & Growth

  • Shape the Talent Advisor business model; promote, market, and create value proposition for the Talent Advisor service line and meet annual growth targets.
  • Lead the sales process for Talent Advisor services with prospective clients.
  • Participate in thought leadership activities to include speaking engagements and the production of written materials.

Additional Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and facilitate training classes and/or programs as needed.
  • Collaborate with the content team to influence the success skills courses Spiirall offers.
  • Provide consulting to clients for special projects as needed.
  • Manage projects to ensure expectations are met by defining project goals and criteria for success, clarify roles and responsibilities for each team member, measure milestones, ensure resources are available, and evaluate progress and success against performance standards.

What you’ll need for this position:

  • ICF ACC or PCC credential (or expected within 6 months of hire).
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience.
  • 2+ years of experience working in public accounting or similar professional services industry.
  • Successful experience engaging in business development/sales activities, preferred.
  • Experience delivering virtual training to a broad variety of experience levels.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to articulate and simplify complex information.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment where improvements are continuously being made and things are changing quickly.
  • Demonstrated success in building and managing profession relationships.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities with limited supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal, self-management, and organizational skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced in Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Word) and Adobe.
  • A willingness to travel overnight up to 15% annually.

Compensation: In some states and municipalities, Pinion is required by law to include a reasonable estimate for range of compensation. When making compensation decisions, Pinion takes into account a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, skills, certifications/licenses, and geographic location. The wide range for this role reasonably accounts for these factors. Specific compensation decisions are made based on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $110,000 - 135,000.
