Corrpro is Canada's largest corrosion engineering, cathodic protection, and corrosion monitoring business for protecting and preserving infrastructure. Corrpro provides professional corrosion consulting and cathodic protection engineering services to major oil companies, government agencies, municipal water, sewer and gas utilities, universities, and public transportation agencies. Corrpro has complete construction installation services, including crews and equipment to install any cathodic protection system for any type of structure.

WHAT YOU’RE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • Responsible for managing equipment, and vehicle operations for Corrpro Canada Operations
  • Manage and maintain Canadian based equipment
  • Manage equipment file records such as Registrations, Inspections Data sheets and other required documentation
  • Supervise procurement procedures for field and equipment support
  • Manage vendor relationships
  • Initiate and manage CAR process for all new units with assigned unit number
  • Advise with budget process for equipment acquisition by business unit
  • Manage service and repairs through vendors
  • Maintain accurate location and assignments of equipment and assets
  • Monitor Utilization-Control inventory to maintain high utilization
  • Report Equipment status and utilization as needed
  • Coordinate delivery of equipment to ensure delivery is timely and units are properly numbered
  • Maintain regular communication with Operations Managers to ensure efficient utilization of equipment
  • Assist in equipment rentals as needed through local vendors
  • Ensure that proper inventory is taken at the warehouse and assess tool and equipment losses and damages
  • Assist in specialty vehicle refurbishing and upgrades
  • Manage and coordinate equipment insurance claims
  • Monitor equipment for accident and damage reporting
  • Equipment acquisition and disposals
  • Conduct equipment asset audits and review with offices yearly at minimum
  • Monitor and manage equipment costs – minimize costs and risks as needed
  • Facilitate, schedule and manage maintenance/repairs on all equipment in Region
  • Ensure that equipment is maintained according to maintenance schedule

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Technical Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of equipment/fleet management experience including maintenance and asset management in a fleet environment
  • Experience educating and training employees on the safe and proper use of the equipment
  • Knowledge of applicable laws, codes, regulations, policies and procedures including thorough understanding of the Equipment Maintenance Requirements and Local and National Vehicle Legislation
  • Proven success in development and implementation of program improvements for cost-saving measures
  • Ability to collaborate with internal business partners, senior management and suppliers
  • Strong organizational, time management, planning and implementation skills
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Travel to offices across Canada which includes driving and outdoor work
