The Opportunity:

This is an opportunity to create efficiency in the homeland security and national resilience enterprise. As a strategy and improvement consultant, you’ll use your expertise to help assess how alterations will impact business processes and develop solutions to ensure organizational readiness. From unrealized potential to systemic challenges, your team will provide your client with a holistic view of their organization to transform their practices and be ready when mission operations call. This position is located in the Washington, DC area.

You Have:

  • 1+ years of experience in the support of emergency management response or emergency management exercises

  • Experience working independently on small project teams

  • Knowledge of concepts of organizational strategy and performance

  • Ability to apply industry standards for organizational operations, including planning, training, assessing, and improving

  • Ability to work in a team environment, conduct research and analysis, and develop high quality written reports and briefings

  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and balance multiple high-priority assignments

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree  

Nice If You Have: 

  • Experience in the application of Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) principles and doctrine in the design, development, conduct, and evaluation of exercises

  • Experience designing, developing, and conducting organizational performance assessments

  • Experience with federal and state government relationships and policies

  • Experience with SharePoint

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Visio

  • Experience with ArcGIS

  • Knowledge of homeland security and emergency management fundamentals

  • Possession of excellent consulting skills, including oral and written communication, problem solving, critical thinking, and research and analysis skills

  • Secret clearance

  • Completion of HSEEP training

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $51,600.00 to $106,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
