About the Fleet Supervisor Role:

 

As a Fleet Supervisor (internal job title will be ‘On Site Representative’), you will be responsible for coordinating the operations of the distribution fleet. In addition, you’ll also be responsible for the efficient and effective coordination, loading, sorting and preparation of stock to be forwarded. You will act as the key point of contact for customers and stakeholders, providing them excellent customer service and managing queries.

In a nutshell, you’ll spend most of your time engaging with the drivers, ensuring that they’re running on time, and using their devices/scanning etc., whilst also engaging with the customer investigating issues, and actioning accordingly.

What you’ll do (duties/responsibilities including/not limited to):

  • Ensure all deliveries are collected and delivered within dedicated timeframes
  • Ensure any delays or deviations are communicated as soon as possible to the customer
  • Ensure all vehicles are compliant with load restraint and all or COR responsibilities
  • Accurately manage pallet exchanges and transfers daily to ensure reconciliation
  • Work closely with customer staff to develop efficiencies, meet KPI’s and improve customer relations
  • Communicate any operational problems to the Operational Services Manager as soon as they are identified

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • 2+ years experience in a similar role (as described above). You may also have had experience as an On-Site Representative, and/or allocator, very transferrable skill sets for this position
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise, and work in a fast-paced/pressurised environment
  • Exceptional delegation skills, and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely
  • A ‘continuous improvement’ mindset, with great attention to detail

Please note hours – Monday to Friday, 5am – 1.30pm. An element of flexibility will be required on occasions.
