Aeroflow Health – Registered Dietician
The Opportunity
Within Aeroflow, the Aeroflow Nutrition Services team was started in 2023 with the mission of making evidence-based nutrition counseling simple and accessible. We make it easy for our patients to connect with a Registered Dietitian and show them simple dietary changes to reduce their risk for chronic disease and complications. Our insurance expertise puts patients in the driver’s seat so they can fully utilize their insurance benefits. The Registered Dietitian will utilize telehealth to remotely support and empower patients in the Aeroflow Nutrition Services program by providing accountability, encouragement, and evidence-based recommendations so patients can manage their health more effectively.
Location: Remote
Licensure Requirements:
Candidates holding multiple state licenses or who are willing to get additional licenses are preferred.
Desired state licenses: AL, FL, GA, IL, KY, MD, NC, OH, SC, TN
Hours: Scheduling is flexible but availability of 10-29 hours per week is required.
Rate: $35/hour
Your Primary Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one and group medical nutrition therapy classes via telehealth.
- Educate patients on nutrition strategies and healthy eating habits to promote overall wellness and effectively manage specific health conditions.
- Develop SMART goals and plans with patients, monitor progress, troubleshoot challenges, and adjust as needed.
- Maintain timely and comprehensive electronic medical records using HIPAA-compliant software.
- Deliver individual and group-based Diabetes Self Management Training (DSMT). Prior DSMT experience is not required and can be provided.
- Coordinate scheduling of initial and follow-up nutrition counseling sessions
- Employee has an individual responsibility for knowledge of and compliance with laws, regulations, and policies.
- Compliance is a condition of employment and is considered an element of job performance.
- Maintain HIPAA/patient confidentiality
Skills for Success
- Have a solid understanding of nutrition and the prevention and management of chronic disease.
- Passion for educating clients on sustainable behavior change.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks, schedules, and processes.
- A high degree of comfort with technology as the program is 100% telehealth.
- Ability to communicate in a clear, warm, and timely manner, within the team and with patients via email, text, audio, and video systems.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
- Ability to meet patients of different lifestyles and abilities, and in different stages of change, where they are.
Required Qualifications
- Four-year college degree in Nutrition and Dietetics or related field. Master’s Degree preferred.
- Registered Dietitian certified by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
- Registered with the Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare (CAQH)
- Candidates must possess current Professional Liability Insurance or must be willing to obtain such insurance prior to the commencement of employment."
- At least 2 years experience with one-on-one nutrition counseling in an outpatient or inpatient setting, or related field
- Experience counseling patients with type 2 diabetes, overweight and obesity, high blood pressure, dyslipidemia, and heart disease
- Ability to work daytime, and weekday hours (evenings or weekends, in addition, are a plus)
- Must have a computer with reliable internet access and a private space from which to see patients.

- Familiarity with Healthie
- Experience with offering group classes.
- Understanding of counseling techniques such as motivational interviewing
- A coaching certification with NBHWC preferred.
- Experience with offering DSMT.
